Experts have good ideas. Unfortunately, most of them are abstract.
Ideas like –
“Meetings are useless. Our software helps you communicate asynchronously.”
“This tool significantly reduces bugs in your software.”
“This email software helps you send emails faster.”
“Eating burgers makes you obese.”
See how abstract they are?
The challenge for the expert is to bring these ideas to life by making them visual.
“Eating burgers makes you obese.” Meh. That is just words.
Imagine putting a tub of oil on the table and saying, “This is how much oil is present in every burger. Maybe it is time to stop eating them?”
Now, that will make your idea stick!
Meetings are useless?
Sure, that is a fair point.
But what if you showed a graph of the total hours your team has spent in meetings this month? That hits differently.
Experts need to make their ideas visual. A good writer paints.
