One afternoon, when I was working, I once got a call from one of my students.
He was laughing and crying at the same time.
He said to me, “Sir, I have got a job in Marketing. It’s my dream profile. My patience has paid off. And it is all because of you Sir.”
His excitement was hard to miss
He was fumbling and breathing fast. And speaking to me amidst the breathing.
It was a short call because, after 2 minutes, he got so emotional that he decided to hang up.
To this date, I think that that phone call is the highlight of my career.
At that moment, I realized how much the contribution of a Teacher means to society.
That is the day, I realized that what I do matters.
